Children also enjoyed the work of a balloon artist, bounce houses, coloring activities and ice cream served in a batting helmet.“We really strive to give them experiences that they may not otherwise have access to,” said Jessica Stanfield, the foundation’s executive director. “Of the hundreds of kids we had at the ballpark, only a handful have ever seen live baseball, something we take for granted here in Southwest Florida. Hopefully they left with some great memories in addition to school supplies that set them up for success in the classroom.”For the third consecutive year, the Shadow Wood Charitable Foundation funded Back to School with the Blue. The local nonprofit supports programs improving the lives of Southwest Florida residents in need.The Guardian ad Litem Foundation recruits, trains and supports court-certified volunteer child advocates, which represent children as they navigate the judicial, education and child welfare systems. The foundation also raises money to provide children with “extras” like birthday parties, tutoring, summer camp programs, movie tickets, and registration fees for clubs and sports.[embed]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rwyjNq6O08Q[/embed][/fusion_text][fusion_images picture_size="fixed" hover_type="none" autoplay="no" columns="5" column_spacing="8" scroll_items="" show_nav="yes" mouse_scroll="no" border="yes" lightbox="yes" hide_on_mobile="small-visibility,medium-visibility,large-visibility" class="" id="" caption_style="off" caption_title_color="" hue="" saturation="" lightness="" alpha="" caption_title_tag="2" fusion_font_family_caption_title_font="" fusion_font_variant_caption_title_font="" caption_title_size="" caption_title_transform="" caption_text_color="" caption_background_color="" fusion_font_family_caption_text_font="" fusion_font_variant_caption_text_font="" caption_text_size="" caption_text_transform="" caption_border_color="" caption_overlay_color="" caption_align_medium="none" caption_align_small="none" caption_align="none" caption_margin_top="" caption_margin_right="" caption_margin_bottom="" caption_margin_left=""][fusion_image image="https://voicesforkids.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/Mussels-Mascot-2.jpg" image_id="2063" image_title="" image_caption="" link="" linktarget="_self" alt="" /][fusion_image image="https://voicesforkids.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/Mussels-Mascot-3.jpg" image_id="2062" image_title="" image_caption="" link="" linktarget="_self" alt="" /][fusion_image image="https://voicesforkids.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/kids-playing-in-a-playplace.jpg" image_id="2061" image_title="" image_caption="" link="" linktarget="_self" alt="" /][fusion_image image="https://voicesforkids.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/Mussels-baseball-player.jpg" image_id="2060" image_title="" image_caption="" link="" linktarget="_self" alt="" /][fusion_image image="https://voicesforkids.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/People-selling-mussels-shirts.jpg" image_id="2059" image_title="" image_caption="" link="" linktarget="_self" alt="" /][fusion_image image="https://voicesforkids.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/person-making-baloon-animal-for-kid.jpg" image_id="2058" image_title="" image_caption="" link="" linktarget="_self" alt="" /][fusion_image image="https://voicesforkids.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/mother-walking-with-child.jpg" image_id="2057" image_title="" image_caption="" link="" linktarget="_self" alt="" /][fusion_image image="https://voicesforkids.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/Too-Tall-Torrie.jpg" image_id="2103" image_title="" image_caption="" link="" linktarget="_self" alt="" /][fusion_image image="https://voicesforkids.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/Jessica-Stanfield.jpg" image_id="2102" image_title="" image_caption="" link="" linktarget="_self" alt="" /][fusion_image image="https://voicesforkids.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/Eric-Bivens.jpg" image_id="2101" image_title="" image_caption="" link="" linktarget="_self" alt="" /][fusion_image image="https://voicesforkids.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/Childrens-pre-game-cheer.jpg" image_id="2100" image_title="" image_caption="" link="" linktarget="_self" alt="" /][fusion_image image="https://voicesforkids.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/Children-flexing-with-Mussel-Man.jpg" image_id="2099" image_title="" image_caption="" link="" linktarget="_self" alt="" /][fusion_image image="https://voicesforkids.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/Backpack-giveaway.jpg" image_id="2098" image_title="" image_caption="" link="" linktarget="_self" alt="" /][/fusion_images][/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
